OSAGE ORANGE Bow Stave/staves/billets/craft wood/turning wood

Description

Up for auction is this hand split OSAGE ORANGE bow stave. It 69 inches long, 1 3/4 to 2 1/4 inches high, and 1 1/2 inches wide on the ends and 2 inches wide in the middle. It is straight and has some twist. The growth rings are close to medium. I see no knots on the back, but there is a small defect in the sapwood close to the end. It was cut (live tree) 6-2021 and is sawed one side. The ends and back are sealed with polyurethane. It is a piece of PREMIUM Osage Orange wood.
