This violin is in excellent condition with only one tiny left wing crack, repaired and holding. There are no other cracks!!! The wood is very fine grain spruce on the table with tasty maple on the ribs, back, neck and scroll. The violin was made in or around 1910 in my opinion. The Violin has an English Label: The Maidstone John G. Murdoch & Co. Ltd. London. The sound is big and warm and good in the higher positions. This sturdy English 4/4 violin would be a great second or outside violin for the pro...or an excellent violin for the student. The violin is ready to play with good Dominate strings, a . value!
