Check out this beautiful Antique Violin Bow from Germany for your buying consideration.  This violin bow would make a great gift for a special occasion, or keep it for yourself!
We acquired a number of violin/cello bows from the sale of the inventory of a long ago closed luthier shop.  There were about 125 bows in that case.  Every time we pick a few more out to offer you, there ends up being another nice gem in there.  We will be offering these violin and cello bows to our clients over the next few months.
This fine violin bow is being offered to you at a price below what you would see in a fine luthier shop or auction house.   We can do that by being a dealer in musical instruments for over 40 years, better controlling our acquisition costs, keeping commission costs low (if applicable), and finally, we don't have the overhead that fine luthier shops and auction houses have

We typically have about 3-4 dozen different violin bows from many makers and of varying value for sale at any time.  So check out our online store to see the other bows.
This violin bow is made of wood.  Has a round shaft.  The shaft is impressed "???".  Looks to be a G and then a last name that looks like "BAUMERT" or "BAUMERI", you be the judge.  An impression of "Germany" under the frog.
No certificate of authenticity comes with this bow.  You be the judge of the maker and age of this violin bow before acquiring the piece.
Very minor loss of the finish along the shaft.  Nice looking frog on it.  No cracks, splits or missing pieces to the ebony, mother of pearl or other materials.
The bow has no cracks, splits or repairs to the wood that we can see to report to you.  The bow still has a great finish on it.  Good camber.  Strong flex to the shaft and we can ascertain no warping, splits or repairs to report to you.  The bow has a black leather and then black and antique white winding on the shaft.   Beautiful tip on this violin bow as well.  Some finish loss along one side of the tip.  There is no horse hair on the bow, it will need to be rehaired at some juncture.
A small chip to the back side of the frog on one side.  The mother of pearl inlays are in place on the sides of the frog and along the bottom.  Then surrounded by a brass ring on both sides.
A silver colored and ebony end screw.  Has a mother of pearl end.
Very nicely made adjusting screw.
There is no certificate of authenticity that accompanies this violin bow.  You are welcome to come and view in person, or have your agent look it over before acquiring.
The pictures provided both complement and supplement the listing description, so please look at them very closely as well.  With old items, there is no way one can capture all the little imperfections in words, so the two media are meant to be the full description.
The bow is 29" long.  The bow weighs 2.0 ounces with no horse hair on it.  Let us know if you have any questions or need additional pictures.

Forfeiture

Returns Policy
Returns are accepted by seller within 30 days of receipt of item by buyer.
