    Description

    Antique Vintage 8 String Banjo Mandolin.  It belonged to my dad who was born in 1896.
    I had it refurbished in 1993.  No one in the family can play it so it has never been played since then.
    The music company that refurbished it said it was a W. A. Cole serial #7419, a Fore Runner to Fairbanks & Cole, Fore Runner to "Vega" Banjos.  It was probably made around 1917 to 1921.
    My dad always called it a Mandolin although it is shaped like a Banjo.  Back then I think it was known as both.
    I will include a Mandolin Music Book.  Also the receipt describing the repair.
