Antique Violin Bow Marked Germany in Unique Spot Round Shaft<br>Came Originally with Adam Friedrich Grimm Violin<br>Item Description<br>Check out this beautiful Antique Violin Bow from Germany for your buying consideration.  This violin bow would make a great gift for a special occasion, or keep it for yourself!<br>We acquired this bow originally with an Adam Friedrich Grimm Violin, and another bow.  We have them items for sale separately in our online store.  See item #s<br>124685938987 and 124465485758,<br>if you might be interested in acquiring those pieces.<br>This fine violin bow is being offered to you at a price below what you would see in a fine luthier shop or auction house.   We can do that by being a dealer in musical instruments for over 40 years, better controlling our acquisition costs, keeping commission costs low (if applicable), and finally, we don't have the overhead that fine luthier shops and auction houses have<br>.<br>We typically have about 2-3 dozen different violin bows from many makers and of varying value for sale at any time.  So check out our online store to see the other bows.<br>This violin bow is made of wood.  Has a round shaft.  The shaft is impressed "Germany" just above the frog where maker's mark is placed, but uniquely done further to the right.<br>No certificate of authenticity comes with this bow.  You be the judge of the maker and age of this violin bow before acquiring the piece.<br>Very minor loss of the finish along the shaft.  Nice looking frog on it.  No cracks, splits or missing pieces to the ebony, mother of pearl or other materials.<br>The bow has no cracks, splits or repairs to the wood that we can see to report to you.  The bow still has a great finish on it.  Good camber.  Strong flex to the shaft and we can ascertain no warping, splits or repairs to report to you.  The bow has no wire or leather wrapping on the shaft.  Very nicely made adjusting screw.  Has a mother of pearl end.  Beautiful tip on this violin bow as well.  Some finish loss along one side of the tip.  There is no horse hair on the bow, it will need to be rehaired at some juncture.<br>The mother of pearl inlays are in place on the sides of the frog and along the bottom.  Appears to be a silver end screw.  The bow is 28-13/16" long.  The bow weighs 1.8 ounces with the horse hair on it.  Let us know if you have any questions or need additional pictures.<br>There is no certificate of authenticity that accompanies this violin bow.  You are welcome to come and view in person, or have your agent look it over before acquiring.<br>The pictures provided both complement and supplement the listing description, so please look at them very closely as well.  With old items, there is no way one can capture all the little imperfections in words, so the two media are meant to be the full description.<br>Make sure that this violin bow meets your needs and requirements before deciding to acquire it.   The item can be returned, there is a 10% restocking fee to do so.<br>So again, ask all questions you have, come see in person or send a friend to see the violin on your behalf, prior to deciding to acquire it.<br>Please check out our other Timeless Tokens store listings as we are regularly adding new items.  We specialize in antique and vintage artwork,  books, collectibles, furniture, musical instruments, clocks, and decorative boxes.  Thanks for your business.
