  • Condition: Offering this banjo project for someone to restore. It's made by the Vega Company of Boston, Mass. The serial number 93715 should be from 1928 and they made 2550 that year. This is in decent overall condition, missing the tuning keys, bridge and bottom string mounts, fretboard inlay looks good, white side material has some cracking but nothing coming off, neck is sturdy, pretty sure it's not the original head on the body of the banjo. I believe this to be its original hard case but don't see any markings to confirm that, there is some damage to the case but still does an excellent job of protecting the instrument. This will be sold as shown. See all pictures. Measurements, overall length 33", Fret board length 16", body diameter 11-1/4".Update 7/25/21I've gotten info from a couple different ebay members that I want to make known. The neck is in fact a Vega Professional tenor neck, the body/resonator I've been told is not an original Vega piece and should be from the 1890's.
